What should I bring?

We suggest bringing sunglasses, hat, long and short sleeve shirt, rain gear, and any medications that you might need while fishing. Watch the weather and remember it is always cooler on the water, a light jacket is always recommended. Of course sunscreen and a few light snacks.

Tipping/Gratuity?

Tip is defined as a gift of money, over and above payment due for services. Tipping is not mandatory, customers should tip when they feel the guide has worked hard for them. Remember tipping is based on service not just catching fish. So if your guide has worked hard for you let them know you appreciate it by giving them a tip. Industry standard runs 10% – 15% for tipping.

Where do you fish?

All around Lake Okeechobee, depending on wind direction and location of fish, your guide will do everything possible to put you on fish. Special trips can be arranged to fish other fisheries in the central South Florida area.

How many days should I fish?

The more days you fish the better chances you have a catching a new personal best or even a trophy fish. We suggest fishing as many days as you can whether that be one day or a week, we can accommodate you.

Can I use my own tackle?

We recommended bring your own rod and reel combos for artificial trips. This way you have a rod that you are accustomed to using. However, we will always have plenty for those that don’t.

What are your deposit, cancellation and rescheduling policies?

Deposit Policy: We require a 50% deposit in order to reserve your date(s). You can not book a trip without a deposit payment. Payments are taken by phone during the booking of a trip. You can pay with any credit or debit card of your choice. Your deposit is non-refundable if you decide to cancel or reschedule your trip.

Cancellation Policy: If your deposit is greater that $800 total, there will be a cancellation fee of $200 per trip within any time period.

Rescheduling Policy: We require 14 days notice prior to your arrival date for rescheduling without a fee, otherwise we will have to charge you a rescheduling fee of $200.

Payments Accepted: We accept Visa, American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Cash. Effective Immediately, there will be a Credit Card Processing Fee of 3.6%. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience but we will no longer be able to accept checks of any kind.

What will we fish for?

The most common guided trips on Lake Okeechobee include Largemouth Bass, however, we also have trips that include Black Crappie and Bowfishing trips that hunt Tilapia, Gar and Mudfish. If it swims in the lake we can give you the best opportunity to catch it.

Do I need a license?

You are required to have a freshwater fishing license for fishing on Lake Okeechobee,  you can purchase a license at www.myfwc.com.

Start time?

With most fishing trips the start time will be meeting 1 hour before sunrise. However, if you would rather we also offer afternoon trips that would start after lunchtime. Most Bowfishing trips begin at dusk. After booking your trip we will be in contact with you in order to setup your meeting times.
